We started Shirebrook because we were tired of agencies that said one thing and did another. Honesty isn't a selling point for us, it's just how we work.
Where we came from.
Shirebrook Recruitment was founded in Sheffield by people who had spent years working in recruitment and grown frustrated with the way it was done. Too many agencies chasing fees, sending unsuitable CVs, and going quiet the moment a placement fell through.
We set out to do it differently. That means being straight with clients about what's realistic, being straight with candidates about what's out there, and never putting a placement ahead of the right outcome for both sides.
We recruit across every sector: engineering, technology, construction, finance, operations, and more. What stays the same regardless of the role is how we work: carefully, honestly, and with a genuine interest in getting it right.
